I offer four ways for us to work together, from a free initial conversation to focused projects and ongoing operational support. Each is designed around the level of involvement you need, and we'll always agree on the scope of any paid work before getting started.

You don't need to go through every stage. If you already know what you need, we can get straight to discussing the work.

The Discovery Call is an opportunity to discuss your business, the challenges you're facing and what you'd like to improve.

I'll ask about how your business currently operates, any specific problems you've identified and what you're hoping to achieve. You can also ask questions about my experience, the services I offer and how I would approach working with you.

The purpose of the call is to understand what you're looking for and identify the most suitable way forward. It isn't a full operational assessment yet, so I won't be reviewing detailed reports or putting together specific recommendations at this stage.

What happens next

Following the call, I'll recommend the most appropriate service based on what we've discussed. This might be an Operational Healthcheck, a Focused Consultancy project or an ongoing arrangement.

If we're both happy to proceed, I'll explain the proposed scope of work and provide a quotation where appropriate.

The call is completely free, with no obligation to take things further.

The Operational Healthcheck is a review of your existing procedures, systems and working practices, focused on the areas of your business that need attention.

I'll review the relevant information and documentation, discuss how things currently operate with you and, where necessary, arrange a site visit of up to two hours to see what’s going on in person.

The exact areas covered will depend on what we've agreed to review. This could include stock management, purchasing, staffing procedures, service standards, opening and closing routines or other operational processes.

What you'll receive

A written summary of my findings, including areas that are working well and those that could be improved.
Prioritised recommendations explaining what I'd change and why.
Relevant SOPs, checklists or other operational resources where these would be useful.
A follow-up call to discuss the findings, answer questions and agree on any necessary adjustments.

The aim is to give you a clear picture of what needs attention and practical recommendations that you can act on.

You can implement the changes yourself, or I can prepare a separate proposal to carry out the work as a Focused Consultancy project.

Healthcheck credit

If you book a Focused Consultancy project within 30 days of completing your Healthcheck, I'll credit the full Healthcheck fee against the project cost.

The price will be confirmed before work begins, based on the scope of the review and whether an on-site visit is required.

From £750 | On-site and remote options

Focused Consultancy is for businesses that have identified an area they want to improve and would like me to carry out the work with them.

This can follow an Operational Healthcheck or be arranged directly if you already know what needs doing.

Projects can cover any of my service areas, including operational processes, stock control, menu development, staff training, documentation and marketing.

How I work

We'll start by agreeing on the work involved, what we're aiming to achieve and what needs to be delivered.

I'll then work directly with you and your team to develop and introduce the changes. Depending on the project, this could involve spending time in your venue, reviewing existing systems, developing new procedures, delivering training or creating the resources needed to support the improvements.

On-site work can involve individual visits or multiple sessions, depending on what the project requires. I'll be there evenings and weekends where necessary. Hospitality doesn't operate Monday to Friday, nine to five, and neither does my approach to working with you.

Some projects can be completed remotely, while others require a combination of on-site and remote work. Any preparation, documentation and follow-up work needed to complete the agreed project will be included in the proposal.

What you'll receive

The deliverables will depend on the project and will be agreed before work begins.

These could include revised procedures, stock control systems, training materials, menu specifications, operational documents, management resources or completed changes to existing working practices.

Where appropriate, I'll also spend time with your team to introduce the changes and make sure everyone understands how to use the new systems.

I'll review the completed work with you and address any adjustments needed within the agreed scope.

If additional requirements come up during the project, we'll discuss them before making any changes to the original agreement.

Pricing

Focused Consultancy projects start at £750.

I'll provide a proposal setting out the work involved, expected deliverables, on-site requirements and total cost before you commit.

Discuss a Project

From £500 per month | Remote and on-site options

Ongoing Support provides regular access to my experience and practical involvement in your business over a longer period.

This is suitable for businesses that want continued operational guidance, regular performance reviews or support implementing improvements across several areas.

The work can cover any of my service areas, with priorities agreed at the beginning of the arrangement and reviewed as the business develops.

How I work

We'll agree on an initial plan covering the areas you want to focus on, the level of support required and how often I'll be involved.

Depending on the arrangement, this could include:

Regular reviews of operational and commercial performance.
Stock, GP, purchasing and cost analysis.
Developing and updating procedures, checklists and management resources.
Supporting managers with operational decisions and ongoing improvements.
Staff training and development.
Menu reviews, marketing planning or other agreed projects.
On-site visits to work directly with your team.

Every arrangement includes at least one scheduled check-in each week to review progress, discuss current priorities and agree on the next steps.

I'll also provide regular written updates covering the work completed, relevant findings and recommendations.

Support options

Remote Support - From £500/month

Regular online meetings, operational reviews, advice, documentation and agreed project work carried out remotely.

On-site & Remote Support - Individually quoted

A combination of remote support and regular visits to your venue. We'll agree on the number and duration of visits in advance, along with the work to be covered.

For businesses requiring a more involved arrangement, this could include weekly on-site visits and ongoing work directly with management teams.

The exact scope, responsibilities and deliverables will be confirmed before the arrangement begins.

Terms

Ongoing Support begins with an initial three-month agreement.

After that, the arrangement continues on a rolling monthly basis, with 30 days' notice required to end the agreement.

Any additional on-site visits or work outside the agreed scope will be discussed and approved before additional charges are incurred.

The intention is to provide consistent support as your business develops, with regular opportunities to review what we're working on and adjust priorities.
